What made this win even more incredible was that he did it on a mountain bike.

"I wanted to show people that I've got rainbow stripe form in February," Painter said after he slipped on the golden fleece. "Lance was weak today, Levi looked scared, Cavendish can't even play a Wii game without getting hurt and Boonen looked like he has cellulite on his thighs."

When asked why he chose to do the stage on his mountain bike, he responded with "I wanted to show my dominance on an international stage so that the other riders around the world will know exactly how tough their 2009 racing season is going to be." He then added, "They may as well not even show up, I can take them on a unicycle.

"Loosely translated, he later ellaborated saying "If I can be honest with you, and I think I can be, I was just pretty GD sick of riding inside on my roadbike."

Legendary cycling announcer Phil Ligget said "I thought his 10 minute ride up Old La Honda and 47 world championships, Olympic Gold medals, UCI titles and Nobel Piece Prizes were impressive. Today trumps all of those."

Ligget then went on to say "This is the most incredible effort I've ever seen from a bike rider in the history of the sport. More betterest than Lance winning that ride they have in France in the summer like 10 times or whatever it was. Who the hell cares at this point, you know?"

When asked about the Armstrong factor in today's race, Painter said "isn't he that guy that dated those two chicks from 'Full House?' I mean honestly, who can take a guy seriously when he's dated two people who you can't even see when they turn sideways?"

Stacking the odds against him, Painter was competing against people who have completed Ironman triathlons. He had this to say when asked about that:"Tri geeks, pshhhhhhht. C'mon, honestly. Give me a challenge one time already why dontcha?"

Asked what is next for this cycling legend in the making and hall of fame superstar to be, he said "well, I already had some post ride pho with veggies, a few Hershey's Kisses and a PowerBar. Now it is time for a shower, a nap and probably some Wii.

"Thanks to Al Painter's ride today, the cycling world is a better place tonight.......

Theeee End????

"Wow, I wish I had those kinds of skills." - President Obama

"I won't be able to sit down for a week after an arse whoopen like that."
